Frictionless EU Compliance: Native Guarantee Notices and GARAN Labels in PlentyONE Shop

From 27 September 2026, new EU requirements will apply to the presentation of statutory rights regarding defective goods (legal guarantee of conformity) and commercial guarantee of durability (“GARAN” labels) in B2C e-commerce. PlentyONE supports you in implementing these requirements.

What is changing?

If you sell to B2C customers in the EU, the new requirements may be relevant to you. From 27 September 2026, the EU Implementing Regulation requires online retailers to display standardised, colour-coded notices on statutory rights regarding defective goods (legal guarantee of conformity) and commercial guarantee of durability (“GARAN” labels) in a clearly visible manner.

Without direct platform support, implementing these requirements can involve considerable manual effort. Custom-coded solutions may result in incorrect information or cluttered mobile product pages, negatively affecting the customer shopping experience.

What PlentyONE provides

With PlentyONE, you can manage the required information centrally and display it directly in your online store – without having to develop custom shop components. We are introducing native display components and additional PIM data fields for PlentyONE Shop (PWA & LTS), along with automatic additions to your order confirmation emails.

The new features are available for PlentyONE Shop PWA and LTS:

• Display warranty notices in your online store: Add the required notices to item detail pages and the checkout.
• Display GARAN labels in a mobile-friendly format: The responsive labels can be expanded and collapsed, keeping your product pages clear and easy to navigate.
• Manage guarantee data centrally: Store the guarantee period as structured data for the relevant item variation in PlentyONE.
• Automatically update order confirmations: Automatically include the relevant guarantee information in your order confirmation emails.

Setup

The new elements can be activated via the PlentyONE backend and ShopBuilder or Shop Editor and integrated into the standard PWA and LTS themes.

What you should do now

Check which of your items are affected by the new requirements and make sure that all required guarantee data has been entered for the relevant variations.

Then activate the new display elements in ShopBuilder or Shop Editor and check how they appear in your online store and order confirmations.
