We are making significant changes to how we handle Shopify order imports to ensure your sales data arrives on time, every time. By separating processes and introducing new technology, we are eliminating potential bottlenecks that could previously delay order creation in your system.
Dedicated resources and instant processing
To prevent delays caused by other system tasks, we are isolating the Shopify order import process. Previously, if one background process was blocked, it could queue up your imports. We are resolving this by moving the Shopify import to a dedicated processing lane, ensuring it runs independently and reliably. In addition, we are introducing a modern, secure method for immediate data transfer. Instead of waiting for the system to "ask" for new orders, we now instantly receive the notification triggered by Shopify the moment an order is placed, ensuring real-time processing without gaps.
-
Independent Processing: The Shopify import will no longer rely on shared background tasks, ensuring consistent performance even during high-load periods.
-
Instant Webhooks: A new, secure connection allows orders to be imported immediately upon creation, removing waiting times.
-
Safety Net: Our standard background checks will continue to run to verify that every single order has been captured correctly.
Contract-based availability
We are rolling out these improvements based on your contract type:
-
All Contracts: Will receive the Independent Processing update for improved stability.
-
PlentyONE Plans (from 04/2025): Will receive both the stability update and the Instant Webhooks feature for real-time order ingestion.
These optimizations ensure that your order management is both stable and fast. Whether through dedicated processing resources or instant notifications, we are ensuring that your Shopify orders are ready for fulfillment the moment they are needed.
