PlentyONE Product Updates

Streamlining Customer Reviews Management with Core Integration

Written by Tim Müller-Späth | 02/02/26 08:30

Since the release of Shop version 2.13.0 on 15 January, the PlentyONE core handles all customer review functionalities directly. This transition ensures that review management is a native part of your system, no plugin needed.

Note that plentyShop LTS continues to rely on the plugin, which we will maintain and update for you moving forward.

Zero plugin maintenance, less complexity

Moving these processes to the core eliminates the need to install, configure, or manually update a separate plugin. This change reduces the technical complexity of your shop environment and lowers the ongoing maintenance effort for both merchants and agencies. Furthermore, this native approach allows us to develop, test, and deploy changes much faster, ensuring a lower time to market for future improvements.

Subtle performance improvements

While the primary goal is simplicity, removing the plugin also has a positive side effect on your shop's speed. Because the system no longer boots the plugin during the initial page load, your customers experience slightly faster response times.

Here's how to switch

If your shop uses version 2.13.0 or higher, you can deactivate the customer feedback plugin in your shop's connected plugin-set. Please refer to the official release notes for more information about this shop version.
