New User Interface in Items: Legacy UI to Remain Available Until 18 May // A Closer Look at New Functionality
On 20 April 2026, we are launching the new user interface in Items. We are certain that the reintroduced tab structure and exciting new functionalities offer an efficient workflow. Nevertheless, we have taken your concerns regarding an immediate deactivation of the legacy user interface seriously.
To ensure you can complete the transition without operational pressure, we have decided to keep the legacy Item UI available in parallel for an additional four weeks until 18 May 2026.
The legacy item view is only available in systems with a PID below 67743.
This decision reflects our commitment to putting your productivity first. We want to provide a transition process that respects your daily operations while we move toward a modernised working environment together.
The deactivation date for the current Item UI remains unchanged. This will be removed from your systems as planned on 30 September 2026. The key dates at a glance:
20 April 2026: Release of the new item UI
18 May 2026: Discontinuation of the legacy item UI
30 September 2026: Discontinuation of the current item UI
The new Item UI: Proven tab structure and new functionalities
The new Item UI brings back the logic valued in the legacy UI – combined with new functionalities for your daily productivity.
- Proven tab structure incl. MyView technology: The logical arrangement of data in clear, topical tabs eliminates the need for tedious scrolling and searching through expandable elements. With the role- and user-specific arrangement of elements, you have full control over your view and maximum options for individualisation.
- New features for increased productivity: Update data directly in lists using Inline Table Editing, utilise Filter Presets for recurring searches, and benefit from the improved group function for faster bulk processing.
- Consistent design & enhanced performance: Benefit from consistent design components, analogous to the Order UI, for a seamless workflow and experience significantly faster loading times.
Resources to get started
To help you hit the ground running on 20 April, we have prepared comprehensive materials to guide you through the new user interface:
- Feature-Walkthrough: Watch our brief video showcase demonstrating the most important changes and the navigation
- Documentation: Please find more information on navigation and functionality within the new interface in our manual. The information available here is constantly being updated.
Collaborative Refinement through Feedback Interviews
We are using this four-week window to ensure the new interface meets your requirements and your operations remain stable and efficient.
During this phase, we are conducting dedicated feedback interviews with active users of the legacy UI to identify further potential for optimisation.
We ask you to use the four-week window to familiarise yourself with the new user interface. If you require assistance, our support team is available via the Service Desk.
