Native PayPal Integration is Now Available for the Shop
We have integrated PayPal natively into the PlentyONE Shop. While you can continue using the existing PayPal Checkout plugin for now, we strongly recommend migrating to this built-in solution to ensure your shop remains efficient and current.
Optimise performance and reduce maintenance
Switching to the native core integration offers immediate advantages for your daily operations:
- Enhanced performance: Removing the plugin reduces the loading weight of your shop, leading to faster response times.
- Minimal maintenance: You no longer need to monitor or manually update the PayPal Checkout plugin.
- Future-proof setup: The native integration is the new standard, ensuring compatibility with future system updates.
- Fast, secure checkout: With the all-in-one PayPal Checkout solution, you can let your customers pay via PayPal, Pay Later, Pay upon Invoice, debit and credit cards, Apple Pay®, Google Pay™, and more, all through a single platform. Enjoy quick setup, easy customisation and built-in seller protection.*
*Available for eligible purchases. Restrictions apply.
Automated migration for Shop Version 2.4.1+
We have developed an automated migration path to make the transition as smooth as possible. When you install a Shop Version higher than 2.4.1, you can migrate your settings with a single click. Simply look for the "Migrate configuration" button in the notification popup to trigger the automatic transfer of your settings.
Required manual steps
To complete the process after the automatic migration, you must manually deactivate the PayPal Checkout plugin in the plugin set currently linked to your shop’s client. This step ensures that only the native integration handles your transactions moving forward.
Updates for custom GitHub integrations
If you or your agency use a custom shop integration, you must verify and sync the necessary code changes manually. Ensure that you copy all necessary updates from our repository into your own code base to guarantee that the native PayPal integration functions correctly.
Manual migration and support
If the system does not prompt you to migrate automatically, you can follow the instructions in our Manual Migration Guide.
If you have further questions, our support team is available to assist you via the Service Desk.
