Transition to the New Item UI and Deprecation of Legacy Interfaces

Written by Steven Metz | 02/03/26 13:00

We are phasing out older Item user interfaces to establish a unified, more efficient experience for all PlentyONE users. Based on your feedback, we are rebuilding the Item UI to reintroduce a clear tab structure - here's the roadmap item ↗️. This change will be shipped end of March and ensures you can access relevant information quickly without unnecessary clicks.

Significant time savings and consistency

The new interface provides more than just a fresh look; it fundamentally improves your daily operations:

  • Faster time-to-market: Reduced complexity in the interface decreases the time required for new channel listings by 75%.
  • Reduced cognitive load: A consistent design language across Item and Order views simplifies navigation.
  • Improved usability: The intuitive tab structure allows for logical data management and better oversight.

Phased deactivation timeline

The transition occurs in two distinct stages to allow for a smooth adjustment:

  • 20 April 2026: The legacy Item UI (not available in newer systems PIDs > 67743) will be discontinued. The deprecation will be executed only upon release of the new Item UI to all systems.
  • 30 September 2026: The current Item UI will be deprecated, leaving the new UI as the sole interface for item management.

No manual activation is required. The new Item UI will automatically appear in your Item menu on 20 April 2026.

Important changes for your views

Please note that "My View" configurations build on the current Item UI cannot be migrated to the new interface. We recommend familiarising yourself with the new UI early and recreating your preferred view configurations to match your specific workflows.

Note: After publication the date for the deprecation of the legacy Item UI has been adjusted. It will only be removed, once the new Item UI is available in all systems. According to current project plan this will be on 20 April 2026.
