News: New Shipping Profile Calculation to be Released Soon
The new logic for the calculation of shipping profiles has proven itself in beta testing, delivering outstanding results. It confirmed our internal tests and significantly reduced the time required for shipping profile determination. Some merchants were even able to activate additional shipping profiles and integrate Amazon Prime and eBay Plus without any impact on performance.
Thanks to these positive results, we will soon roll out the new shipping profile calculation for all merchants.
Here's what this means for you
You will soon have the option to activate the new logic in your backend. The switch is completely voluntary – there is currently no planned end-of-life for the old logic, and any future changes will be announced well in advance. You can enable and disable the new logic at any time, giving you maximum flexibility for testing.
Noticeable performance improvements
The new shipping profile calculation is used in order creation and webshop checkout, leading to significant performance improvements in these areas.
New feature: Fallback shipping profiles
We've also added a valuable enhancement: You can now define a fallback shipping profile per client and destination country. This prevents situations where no shipping profile is determined or assigned – an issue that occasionally occurred with the old logic.
A detailed guide is already available in the manual:

Here's what you need to do
You only need to decide whether to activate the new logic – your existing shipping profiles will remain unchanged. The only exception: Merchants offering self-pickup must enable an additional option in their shipping profiles. All other settings stay the same.
