Labels identify parcels, storage locations and items across your processes. Until now, you built them in Setup and positioned every field with X and Y values. That takes time, and layout and content hit limits quickly.
You now build label templates in the DocumentBuilder. Place content with widgets and variables, add more information to the label and customise layout and design freely.
Four label types for your processes
You now design these document types in the DocumentBuilder:
- Address label: Design shipping information freely.
- Warehouse label: Mark storage locations and internal warehouse processes.
- Item label: Pull data straight from the item, e.g. attributes. Ideal for internal warehouse processes.
- Order item label (new): Pull order item data directly from the order. Ideal when you want to track individual order items separately.
Choose standard formats directly in the DocumentBuilder
New output settings provide predefined formats such as A5, A6 and DIN 5008:
- A5 / Warehouse label (GS1 A5)
- A6 / Warehouse label (GS1 A6) / Address label (A6 sticker)
- Address label (DIN 5008 window)
- Item label (standard)
- Item label (compact)
For each document type, you're free to select the format that fits your requirements best or create a custom one.
Automate labels in Flow Studio and find them on the order
Flows now generate labels automatically. Storage changes as well.
- Automation in Flow Studio: With the "Create document" action you can automate the generation of order item, address, and item labels. Select the corresponding document type in the action settings.
- Storage on the order: Labels no longer download to your computer on creation. They stay on the order and are available in the Document Hub.
- Two weeks of storage: After that, the system deletes the labels. Save labels you need for longer in time.
Switch to the new labels in three steps
The labels are available now. Start setting it up now to benefit from the design flexibility and automation. You decide when to switch.
- Activate the document type: Activate it under Setup » Documents » Settings in the "Document types switch" panel. Once you switch a document type, the new logic applies to it. For the time being, you are able to revert the switch if you need to.
- Set up your template: Design your template under Setup » Documents » DocumentBuilder.
- Set up your flow: Create a flow in Flow Studio with the "Create document" action and select the new labels from the document types.
Each label type has its own manual page:
