Kustom (formerly known as Klarna Checkout), which integrates Klarna payment methods through the Klarna plugin, has announced required updates to API endpoint usage due 31 March 2026.
We are currently finalising a technical solution to address the mandatory API endpoint updates required by Kustom. This adjustment ensures that your Klarna plugin remains fully functional and secure beyond of the upcoming deadline.
Consequently, we expect to release the necessary plugin update by the end of next week. This schedule provides you with sufficient time to perform the update before the final deadline on 31 March 2026.
To ensure uninterrupted payment processing, please monitor your system for the plugin update next week. Once available, install the update immediately to align your system with the new API requirements.
Fortunately, Kustom has confirmed that your existing Klarna credentials remain valid. Therefore, you do not need to request new credentials or change your account settings; the plugin update handles the technical transition automatically.️
