Deprecation of Procedure Manager and Transition to Modern Flow Automation

Written by Jacqueline Wendel | 05/03/26 07:30

Efficient automation is the backbone of successful e-commerce, allowing you to focus on growth while repetitive tasks run in the background. As our software evolves, we aim to provide you with the most powerful and flexible tools available. To ensure a unified and future-proof automation experience, we are transitioning all automated tasks from the legacy Procedure manager to the modern PlentyONE Flow environment.

This change allows us to concentrate our development efforts on a single, superior platform that meets the increasing demands of multi-channel retail.

Unlocking advanced functionality with flow automations

PlentyONE Flow serves as the central hub for your automation needs, offering a significantly broader range of capabilities compared to the older Procedure manager. By moving your time actions to Flow, you gain access to a comprehensive set of triggers, filters, and actions that you might already know from the Event procedures. This transition strengthens the simplicity of our software and provides you with a more intuitive experience. The key benefits of using Flow include:

  • Access to a modern, scalable architecture for all automation tasks.
  • Granular control through an expanded set of triggers, filters, actions and control elements.
  • Improved overview and management of complex business logic in one place.
  • Continuous functional updates and new integrations exclusive to the PlentyONE Flow ecosystem.

This showcase introduces the automation features Flow Studio and Flow Tracker:

Timeline for the transition

We are committed to making this transition as smooth as possible for you. The Procedure manager will reach its End-of-Life (EOL) on 01 October 2026. Until then, you have the opportunity to migrate your existing time actions.

Future plans involve further expanding PlentyONE Flow library with even more marketplace-specific functionality and advanced logic operators to support your individual business requirements. We recommend starting your transition early to familiarise yourselves with the enhanced possibilities PlentyONE Flow offers.

Your next steps for a smooth transition

You can use our integrated migration tool to move your time actions, but we strongly encourage you to take this opportunity to rethink and rebuild your workflows from scratch. This ensures you fully leverage the advanced logic and efficiency of PlentyONE Flow. Please note that this transition is mandatory for all users currently relying on the Procedure manager.
