In the variant detail view of the new article UI, it is now possible to view a catalog export preview of the variant for a catalog.
Where can the preview be found?
The catalog preview is accessible via the three-dot menu in the toolbar of the variant detail view:
Additionally, you can configure a button directly in the toolbar:
How does the preview work?
After a catalog is selected, a catalog preview of this variant is generated. There are three cases:

no catalog preview can be generated

the selected catalog is not completely configured

the variant is not completely configured
If one of these cases occurs, it will be displayed at the top accordingly, as action is required on the user's part. Below this follows the tabular export preview of the variant.
Here is an example of a catalog preview where the catalog is not completely configured and the variant is also missing data required by the catalog:

What are the limitations?
Due to technical reasons, the catalog preview is not available for all catalogs and only for catalogs in the "Article (New)" format.
